KKK leader backs Clinton, or does he?

Will Quigg, grand dragon of the Ku Klux Klan’s California chapter and responsible for recruitment in the western United States, has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. This could be disastrous for Clinton and he knows it.

“We want Hillary Clinton to win,” Quigg told the Telegraph. “She is telling everybody one thing, but she has a hidden agenda. She’s telling everybody what they want to hear so she can get elected . . . once she’s in the presidency, she’s going to come out and her true colours are going to show . . .

“Border policies are going to be put in place. Our second amendment rights that she’s saying she’s against now, she’s not against. She’s just our choice for the presidency.”

Now, if you were trying to get a candidate elected, would you say things like "she has a hidden agenda"? Quigg has supported Donald Trump from the beginning, tweeting, “@realDonaldTrump. You Sir are the only hope we have of getting WHITE AMERICA BACK! We all will be voting for you!” last year.

I could be wrong about Quigg — he might just be an idiot, but it could very well be that knows the damage a KKK endorsement can do to a Democrat candidate and is using it to smear Clinton.

Consider this. Think about a scenario where other leaders in the white supremacist community see what Quigg has done and jump on the Clinton bandwagon. Memes with Clinton's photo and the words "hidden agenda" or "KKK's choice" proliferate on Facebook and Twitter. Remember, people on social media are generally lazy and don't vet what they share. And the more you repeat something, as Trump knows, the more true it becomes.

Whatever happens from here, Clinton's name is forever linked with the KKK and the term "hidden agenda", for what goes up on the internet never comes down again.

Well played, Mr. Quigg. Well played, indeed.
